Our Acitivites
CHHATRA KALYAN SAMITYChhatra Bandhu Program
Chhatra Kalyan Samity is dedicated to enhancing student welfare, particularly in remote villages where economically disadvantaged families struggle to bear their children’s educational expenses. To support underprivileged students’ education, we offer various forms of aid to ensure their education continues. Through our Chhatra Bandhu Program, we recently distributed educational materials to 37 students, felicitated 17 meritorious students, and provided essential supplies to 72 needy students aged 6-14. We also offered financial assistance through cash to help 70 students get admission to higher education in colleges and universities. Through these efforts, we are striving to ensure that financial constraints hinder no student’s educational dreams.
Training Courses
Empowering rural youth and women through various training courses is our primary objective at Chhatra Kalyan Samity. We collaborate with the Government of West Bengal’s ICDS to offer Anganwari Training Courses, providing valuable support to pregnant women from underprivileged backgrounds. We also conduct youth leadership training programs in partnership with NYK to improve the circumstances of rural youth. We provide accommodation and facilities for up to 660 people, furthering our mission to foster self-reliance and financial independence in these communities.
Sab Peyechhir Asor
“Sab Peyechir Asor” is a heartfelt initiative by Chhatra Kalyan Samity for children’s welfare. It goes beyond bookish knowledge, catering to local children aged 6 to 12. Daily activities include drills, Brotochary, singing, and dancing. The program aims to introduce our state and national culture and traditions while providing a refreshing and educational platform for cultural activities, enriching the lives of these young participants.
Library
We proudly operate “Udayan Pathagar,” our library, which has 800 valuable books, magazines, periodicals, and newspapers serves as a treasure trove for readers and writers. This resource benefits a significant number of students in our community. Additionally, we publish an annual magazine, “UDAYAN,” and a monthly magazine called “Chaler Pathe.” Our library also features a reading room known as “Ramkrishnna Pathchakra,” providing a quiet and conducive space for reading and study, further enhancing educational opportunities for our patrons.
Sanitation Wing
Our organization prioritizes the “Sanitation Wing” as a crucial component of our environmental protection efforts. We motivate individuals through seminars, group meetings, camps, and the distribution of leaflets to promote clean environments. Additionally, we facilitate child health check-ups and host exhibitions. An annual Environment Week features tabloids and awareness campaigns. Our commitment to public health includes setting up 4 public latrines, 6 deep tube wells, and organizing a Safai Avijan, contributing to cleaner, healthier surroundings.
Game and Sports Development
Promoting sports and games in rural communities is a core part of our mission. Our society actively participates in various activities, including football, volleyball, cricket, and kabaddi. Each year, we organize football and cricket tournaments that spark enthusiasm among members and the local population. Additionally, our annual sports event is a highlight for both members and the community. We’ve even collaborated with the North 24 Parganas Kho-Kho association for a Kho-Kho camp and held a 20-day Bratachari Camp, furthering our commitment to fostering athletic development.
